Selecting Cargo Spaces

In CargoLoader, trucks and containers are managed under the Spaces panel. This section allows users to select the space type for the load plan, apply filters, search by name, and mark frequently used spaces as favorites.

Space Types and Filters

The Spaces list includes various types of load spaces:

  • Container:
  • Trailer:
  • Semi-Trailer:
  • Lorry:

The filter menu allows users to:

  • Show only selected space types.
  • Display only favorite spaces (marked with a star in the list).

Filter selections are applied instantly, and the Spaces panel updates in real time.

Selecting a Space

To set a truck or container for the load plan:

1. Locate it in the Spaces panel using search or filters.

2. The selection is immediately applied to the load plan.

Searching for Spaces

The search bar in the Spaces panel enables quick access to a specific space.

  • The search matches space names only.
  • Results update instantly as text is entered.
  • This allows direct access to the desired space without scrolling through the full list.

Editing Space Properties

In the extended panel, clicking the edit (pencil) icon opens the space details form.

  • Default spaces (system-provided container types) cannot be directly altered. If you attempt to save changes, the system automatically creates a copy with your modifications, leaving the original unchanged.
  • Custom spaces (created or imported by the user) can be edited and saved directly.

Deleting Spaces

You can delete any custom or imported space type by clicking the trash icon in the extended view. Default spaces cannot be deleted.

Expanding the Spaces Panel

Click the expand arrow (right arrow icon) beside the Spaces title to open the extended management view. This view provides a table with detailed attributes such as name, type, dimensions, and maximum load capacity

Favoriting Spaces

In the extended view, the Favorite column contains star icons.

Clicking a star marks that space as a favorite, allowing it to be quickly filtered in the left panel via the favorites filter in the filter menu.
