Cargo Items

The Adding Cargo Items section allows users to create, customize, and manage the individual cargo elements that will be placed inside a selected container or space. Each item can be configured with specific physical properties to simulate real-world loading conditions accurately.

Adding a New Item

Click the “+” button in the highlighted area to add a new item to the group. Each item includes editable parameters such as a custom label, dimensions (L × W × H), weight, quantity, and color for 3D visualization. Additionally, you can click any item in the load plan to enter Edit mode and modify all of its properties.

Each item entry includes several editable parameters that define how it will behave in the load plan:

  • A custom label for easy identification.
  • (Length, Width, Height): Physical measurements of the item.
  • The actual weight of the cargo.
  • Number of identical units to be loaded.
  • Visual color for representation in the 3D view.

Defining Item Properties

If an item has already been added to the load plan, changing its properties in the Items panel will disable the + button. This is because the modified version is treated as a different configuration. To add it again, you must either:

  • Item Name:A custom label for easy identification.
  • Dimensions:(Length, Width, Height): Physical measurements of the item.
  • Weight:The actual weight of the cargo.
  • Count:Number of identical units to be loaded.
  • Color:Visual color for representation in the 3D view.
  • Tilt
:Specifies whether the item can be rotated or tilted during placement. If enabled, the placement algorithm may position the item at an angle; if disabled, the item will remain upright in its original orientation.
  • Rotate
:Controls whether the item can be rotated to change its orientation. If disabled, the item will always remain in its original orientation during optimization.
  • Stack
:Determines whether other items can be placed on top of this item. If enabled, the item can support stacking; if disabled, no other items will be placed above it.
  • On Floor
:Indicates that the item must always remain on the container floor. When enabled, the algorithm ensures this item is placed at the bottom level.

Deleting Items from the Panel

Clicking the trash icon removes the item from the panel but does not remove any instances already placed in the load plan.

Adding from Items Database

Clicking the right arrow in the panel header expands it to show a full list of predefined items. Here you can:

  • Search using the search bar
  • Select multiple items using checkboxes and add them to the active group (by clicking the left arrow button)
